I love making mood boards on Mondays because they keep me focused and motivated for the week ahead. I decide on the photos for the board in a few different ways: items/quotes that inspire me, products I’ve used and loved, hobbies I enjoy, and momma things I can’t live without. Usually, these mood boards will give you a little glimpse into what kind of content to expect throughout the week.
Okay! Without further ado, here is my first Monday Mood Board:
We all know that one project usually leads to another, so I’ve started working on an inspiration board for our living room, and this bookshelf is definitely on it! Erin over at Cotton Stem incorporated this into her daughters’ playroom and I love the look! She referred to them as “functional” and “affordable,” which is ALWAYS a plus. The bookcase comes in two colors—Light Oak and Rustic Oak. The Light Oak has stolen my heart—what a pretty and neutral tone! More to come this week on this beauty!
2. Fiddle Leaf Fig
It seems like everyone loves their Fiddle Leaf Figs, so naturally, I decided to try my hand at caring for my own! How’s it going? Check out this week’s Plant Profile coming on Wednesday!

A couple of months ago, I received a sample of this PUR product in my IPSY bag. Fun fact: I love trying new beauty products, but when I find one I like, I’m sold—and I REALLY like this stuff! It goes on smoothly, covers my dark circles well, and stays on ALL DAY. The best parts? It comes in 100 shades, it’s vegan, gluten-free, and paraben-free. Um, hell yeah!
I think Regan over at The Blooming Nest introduced me to these joggers, and I am NOT mad about it. They are so lightweight, ultra-comfortable, and stylish! You look dressed up, but feel as comfortable as you do in your sweats. It can’t get any better!
6. Motivational Quote
Joss and Main has brought the Gwyneth Four-Piece Terracotta Pot Planter Set to my attention a few times over the past couple weeks, and I can’t lie, I adore them. They are that hint of blue décor that I love, but they do not have drainage holes, and if you read my Plant Profiles post on the Pothos plant, you know how I feel about that! I’ll be on the lookout for some that are similar but larger for when I have to repot some of my plants as they grow!
Everyone is talking about Hearth & Hand’s Fall 2020 collection, so naturally, I had to take a peek. (See Karlee Gail Bowman’s favorites here, or Liz Marie Galvin’s here!) Of course, it’s perfection. However, I would have to say, this little faux arrangement definitely caught my eye! I was immediately drawn to the cozy colors and could easily see this sitting on that Better Homes & Gardens bookcase… (Dreams…) Currently, stock is low, and I think it’s going to sell out fast!
